Camp Coastal Outpost in Kiln, MS was started immediately after hurricane Katrina by Mike Sweeny as a location to house and feed volunteer groups doing clean-up work. It is still doing that now but also is in the process of helping build 140 new houses for hurricane victims in Mississippi and Louisiana as well as other “recovery” oriented projects.

Ken-Tenn Relief Team in Williamsburg, Kentucky was started to locate and deliver food and supplies to Katrina victims two years ago. Jim Paul and his group are still collecting supplies and sending trucks full of everything from food to building supplies on a regular basis to not only the Mississippi/Alabama coast, but also eastern Kentucky, Texas and other areas of need. They also have huge programs that provide school supplies and Christmas presents to hurricane victims. Many are blessed by this group’s efforts.

Orphan Grain Train in Norfolk, Nebraska does much the same as Convoy of Hope except they ship all kinds of donated goods to many countries overseas. Pastor Ray Wilke is founder and presides over this wonderful ministry.

Children’s Feeding Network is a ministry of Dr. Daniel Daves in Fenton, Missouri. This network seeks to provide food and other supplies to starving and sick children especially in Africa. They promote a flax lignan product that has been proven to stimulate the immune systems of AIDS patients and many have been able to fight back against this horrible disease.
